Robert Bigelow Bio and Career:

Robert Thomas Bigelow is a prominent American businessman. He was born on May 12, 1945. He is the creator of Bigelow Aerospace and also owns and operates the hotel brand known as Budget Suites of America. Bigelow spent her childhood in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she attended Highland Elementary School. She had her first experience with science when she saw, although from a distance, a series of nuclear weapons tests that were carried out around 70 miles to the north of the city.

Bigelow decided that his future lay in space travel when he was 12 years old, even though he was not very good at mathematics. He also decided that he would choose a profession that would make him wealthy enough so that he could one day hire the scientific expertise that would be required to launch his space program. Until then, he would not discuss his long-term objective with anybody, not even his wife.

In 1962, he enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he studied banking and real estate. Three years later, in 1967, he received his degree from Arizona State University. Bigelow established Bigelow Aerospace in 1999 after spending significant time constructing commercial real estate properties such as hotels, motels, and apartments from the late 1960s through the 1990s. During his career in real estate, Bigelow developed about 15,000 residential units and bought an additional 8,000. Throughout his professional life, “he hung on to practically everything he acquired, but… finally unloaded[d] much of his housing stock in the boom years just before the 2008 crisis.” Bigelow had this to say about the situation in 2013, reflecting on it: “People simply really wanted to waste money away,… So that was fortunate.”

Bigelow established the National Institute for Discovery Science in 1995 to do research and advance the study of a variety of fringe sciences and paranormal issues, most notably ufology. The agency investigated cow mutilation and black triangle claims, and in the end, they concluded that the military was responsible for the latter. In 2004, the institution was closed down, and its operations ended.

Bigelow has suggested that he expects to invest up to US$500 million (or 33 percent of the $1.5 billion that NASA spent on a single space shuttle trip) to create the first private space station. Genesis I and Genesis II are two of Bigelow Aerospace’s experimental space modules launched into space. The company also aspires to develop full-scale human space habitats that will serve as orbiting hotels, research centers, and factories.

On April 8, 2016, the Bigelow Aerospace BEAM module was successfully delivered to the International Space Station by SpaceX during the company’s eighth cargo resupply mission. Bigelow said in 2013 that the reason he entered into the commercial real estate industry was to gather the necessary finances to be able to support a team designing space destinations. This statement was made about why Bigelow moved into the commercial real estate company. In March 2013, Bigelow was a guest on the radio program Coast to Coast AM. In an interview on the CBS program 60 Minutes that aired in May 2017, Bigelow said that he was “totally certain” that there had been alien visits to Earth.

Bigelow announced that he intended to launch an inflatable “space hotel” into orbit by October 2022 in October of 2017. The proposal is being developed in conjunction with United Launch Alliance, and the overall expenditure for the project is anticipated to be $2.3 billion. In December 2017, it was reported by the New York Times that Bigelow had urged Senator Harry Reid to initiate what would become the Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program. This program was a government study that ran from 2007 to 2012 and was tasked with studying UFOs. Bigelow was quoted as saying this in the article. Bigelow reportedly told the New York Times that he is “totally certain” that extraterrestrial beings exist and have traveled to our planet.

An arduous task may seem irrelevant to others. Still, the entrepreneur with the shaggy hair and mustache, who is the sole owner of Bigelow Aerospace and Budget Suites of America, is not easily discouraged. He accumulated a fortune to follow his passions, which include designing and constructing inflatable astronaut homes for NASA, such as his soft-sided expandable activity module dubbed BEAM, which is linked to the International Space Station. He did this using his wealth.

Robert Bigelow’s Phone Number, Email, Contact Information, House Address, and Social Profiles:

His firm, Budget Suites, one of the first extended-stay rental networks and now provides homes for over 15,000 people across three states, has been the primary funding source for his aeronautical endeavors. According to him, the revenues have allowed him to invest more than 350 million dollars into Bigelow Aerospace, which he has referred to as “my true black hole” in recent phone conversations. They have also made it possible for Mr. Bigelow to enjoy his well-known, though somewhat mocked, interest in what he referred to as “anomalous happenings.” This passion includes his ownership of a haunted Utah ranch for the last 20 years that is invaded by flying orbs and other eerie phenomena.

The strange occurrences piqued the interest of the Defense Intelligence Agency, which in turn led to the formation of a Pentagon initiative to study unidentified flying objects. This initiative is known as the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, and it was first reported on by The New York Times in 2017. Harry Reid, a former Democratic Senate majority leader, was instrumental in securing funding for the initiative.

Despite their profound political differences, Mr. Reid said that he and Mr. Bigelow built a good working relationship and that he referred to Mr. Bigelow as “smart.” Mr. Bigelow is recognized as a staunch Republican with positive words for President Trump (at least until recently). Despite this, Mr. Reid said he held Mr. Bigelow in “great respect,” stating, “He’s looked into places other people merely wonder about.” It laid the groundwork for his new afterlife competition, which sought the most compelling proof of the survival of consciousness and offered cash awards of $500,000, $300,000, and $150,000 each for first, second, and third place, respectively. The names of the winners are going to be revealed on November 1st.

A record of at least five years of study in the topic is required of contestants, and association with organizations such as the Society for Psychical Research in Britain is highly recommended. Contestants have until February 28 to demonstrate that they are qualified as serious researchers. The deadline for submissions, which may be as long as 25,000 words and will be reviewed by a group of subject-matter experts, is August 1. Mr. Bigelow said he had a notion of the best evidence but could not tell what it was because “it would be detrimental to say.”

Following the death by suicide in 1992 of their 24-year-old son, Rod Lee Bigelow, the father of an infant boy and a daughter who had not yet been born, the Bigelows’ interest in awareness developed. (That son, Rod II, struggled with substance abuse as an adult and ultimately took his own life at 20 in 2011. Blair, his sister and Mr. Bigelow’s granddaughter have worked for the aerospace and realty firms he owns, and Mr. Bigelow has hinted that she may one day take over the businesses.

To find some solace in the wake of the passing of their son, the Bigelows consulted with the well-known medium George Anderson. Did their kid get in touch with them? Mr. Bigelow responded, “Not really,” but he did say that what he took away from the readings was the sense that his spirit still existed and that he was fine.

After discovering that relatively few researchers were seriously looking into afterlife experiences, the couple donated $3.7 million to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in 1997 to endow the Bigelow Chair of Consciousness Studies. Charles T. Tart, a transpersonal psychologist with a spiritual bent, and Raymond Moody, an author who popularised the study of near-death experiences, became the first two chairs of the program. Still, Mr. Bigelow terminated it after a few years. “Unfortunately, we were unable to make sufficient progress in the research aspects,” he said.
