Robert Lawrence Stine is an American author, short story writer, television producer, screenwriter, and executive editor, and sometimes goes by the pen names Jovial Bob Stine and Eric Affable. Stine was the son of Lewis Stine, a shipping clerk, and Anne Feinstein. He was born on October 8, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio. He was raised in Ohio’s Bexley. He is a member of a Jewish family.
