The Tennessee Titans, a professional American football franchise based in Nashville, Tennessee, have a storied history dating back to 1960 when they were initially known as the Houston Oilers, being one of the founding members of the American Football League (AFL). However, their identity shifted in 1997 as they moved to Tennessee, temporarily adopting the name Tennessee Oilers before settling on the Tennessee Titans in 1999. Their home turf is Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville along the Cumberland River. Sporting navy blue, light blue, and white as their team colors, the Titans are represented by their mascot, “T-Rac.”
