It took them 32 hours and 59 minutes to complete the race. A record was set in 1975 by Rick Cline and Jack May in a Ferrari Dino, and Rawlings and Collins are the only teams to have ever beaten it. Challengers who didn’t start and finish in the designated areas or who used other routes from the ones used in the original Cannonball Runs in the 1970s were disqualified.
