Anthony Piers Dillingham Under the pen name Piers Anthony, Jacob is an American writer of science fiction and fantasy books. His long-running literary series based in the make-believe world of Xanth is what made him most famous. Alfred and Norma Jacob, Anthony’s parents, were Quaker pacifists who were Oxford University students.
