He had worked for the Walt Disney Company throughout the summers of his college years at “Disneyland” in Anaheim. After completing his education, he decided to make this his life’s work.
As far back as the 1970s, “Disney” was called out for recycling plots and ideas that had already been seen. The company increased its recruitment efforts to attract new workers. In a relatively short amount of time, about 10,000 applications were submitted. From the original pool of 5,000 applicants, “Disney” narrowed it down to 150 for additional review and ultimately hired 45 of them as animators. John was one of them. So, he got a job as an animator at “Walt Disney Productions.”
