About (Joe Rogan – Biography)

He grew up in the Boston area until he was 24 years old. Career 1988–1994: Beginnings as a stand-up comedian. I didn’t know what I wanted to do until I became a stand-up comedian. I was concerned about my future. I couldn’t see myself working a regular 9-to-5 job. From a young age, he was a fan of comedy. Comedian Richard Pryor’s film Live on the Sunset Strip had an impact on him “in such an eloquent manner Nothing had ever made me laugh so hard.” Rogan’s gym and Taekwondo school friends, whom he would make laugh with impressions and jokes, persuaded him to try stand-up comedy.

On August 27, 1988, at age 21, and after six months of preparing material and practising his delivery, he performed his first stand-up routine at an open-mic night at Boston’s Stitches comedy club. [1Rogan worked several jobs while living in Boston and working on his stand-up, including teaching martial arts at Boston University and in Revere, Massachusetts, delivering newspapers, driving a limousine, doing construction work, and performing duties for a private investigator.

Meanwhile, his blue comedy style got him gigs at bachelor parties and strip joints. One night, Rogan persuaded the owner of a Boston comedy club to let him try out a new five-minute routine. At the show, talent manager Jeff Sussman noticed Rogan’s act and offered to manage him. Rogan accepted Sussman’s offer. Rogan relocated to New York City in 1990. After some back-and-forth, Rogan agreed to a development deal with the Disney network. In the 1994 nine-episode Fox sitcom Hardball, he played Frank Valente, a young, ego-centric star player on a professional baseball team

He had worked 12-hour days before, so the filming schedule was a new experience.”It was a great show on paper until a horrible executive producer with a big ego was hired by Fox to run the show, and he re-wrote it,” Rogan later explained. Around this time, Rogan began performing at The Comedy Store in Hollywood, and owner Mitzi Shore hired him as a paid regular. He served at the club for free for the next 13 years, helping to p In 2000, Rogan released his first comedy special, I’m Gonna Be Dead Someday. He hosted the game show Fear Factor from 2001 to 2006.
