After the departure of Malcolm Young and drummer Phil Rudd in March 2016, AC/DC was dealt another blow when long-time lead singer Brian Johnson was ordered by doctors to stop performing or face total hearing loss. Angus, determined to see the band’s vision through, enlisted Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose to fill in for Johnson for the remainder of the Rock or Bust World Tour.

He and his brother Malcolm formed AC/DC in 1973, with Angus on lead guitar, Malcolm on rhythm guitar, Colin Burgess on drums, Larry Van Kriedt on bass guitar, and Dave Evans on vocals.
