Biersack’s career deviated from what he had been doing with his band, ‘The Black Veil Brides,’ by focusing on synth and Goth music. This new project was meant to supplement what Biersack was working on with his band and did not result in his departure. ‘They Don’t Need to Understand,’ his first solo single, was released in May 2014.
