About (Trish Stratus – Biography)

Strategies signed with the WWF in November 1999 and made her debut as a villain on Sunday Night Heat on March 19, 2000, as Trish Stratus. In the early years of her career, she worked as a storyline manager for Test and Albert, members of the tag team T & A, and then for Val Venis.

In early 2001, she collaborated with WWF Chairman Vince McMahon and the rest of the McMahon family on her first major storyline, which led to her WrestleMania X-Seven appearance, where she supported Shane McMahon in his battle with his father, signalling a face turn for her. While she had previously participated in matches, she began to do so with a greater sense of purpose after her first face turn, effectively revitalising her character.

In the summer of 2001, she suffered an ankle injury and had to take three months off to heal and recover. When she returned, she was certain of her decision to become a professional wrestler. She won her first WWF Women’s Championship at the 2001 Survivor Series by winning a six-pack challenge.

Between 2003 and 2005, she and Lita (Amy Dumas) had one of the most notable scripted rivalries in professional wrestling history. The title, as well as the roles of face and heel, were switched around. Her main competitors included Stephanie McMahon, Jazz, Victoria, Gail Kim, Molly Holly, and Mickie James. After the 2007 Unforgiven pay-per-view event, Stratus announced her retirement in mid-2006. In her final Raw match, she faced James on September 11.

A week later, on September 17, at ‘Unforgiven,’ Stratus defeated Lita in front of her hometown Toronto with the Sharpshooter, a submission manoeuvre invented by fellow Canadian wrestler Bret “The Hitman” Hart, to reclaim the championship from her greatest rival and friend for the final time.

He attack Jillian Hall on December 10, 2007, during Raw’s 15th Anniversary special. She teamed up with John Cena for her first wrestling match in two years in December 2008, when she faced Santino Marella and Beth Phoenix. Stratus was one of the trainers on WWE Tough Enough season five. In August 2016, she appeared on the WWE Network special WWE 24: Women’s Evolution, where she discussed her time in WWE as well as the history of women in professional wrestling.

Her character has appeared in 20 WWE video games. She made her in-game debut in ‘WWF SmackDown! 2: Know Your Role’ in November 2000. Stratus made her film debut in the 2011 film ‘Bail Enforcers,’ playing Jules, the female protagonist of the bounty hunter. In 2015, she co-starred in the action film ‘Gridlocked,’ alongside Dominic Purcell and Danny Glover.
