Rory Feek Bio and Career:
Rory Feek is a Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, filmmaker, author, and artist. She is also one-half of the husband-and-wife country, gospel, and bluegrass duet Joey + Rory, with whom she shares the award. After their debut in 2008, the duo went on to record a total of eight studio albums until Joey’s death in 2016. Gentle Man, Rory’s first album under his name, was released in 2021. In addition, he has succeeded as a songwriter for other musicians, contributing to the success of hits by Blake Shelton, Clay Walker, and Tracy Byrd, amongst others.
Feel, born and raised in Atchison, Kansas, picked up the guitar at 15 and credited Don Williams and Merle Haggard as some of his first musical influences. After completing his high school education, he joined the United States Marine Corps and participated in two tours of service. Subsequently, he moved to Dallas and started performing in nightclubs there. He relocated to Nashville in 1995 and obtained a publishing deal around the same time. His first success, “Someone You Used to Know,” was released in 1999 and was recorded by Collin Raye.
In the 2000s, Feek became a successful composer, composing songs for artists like Mark Wills, Kenny Chesney, and Randy Travis. In 2004, he achieved his first number-one with Blake Shelton’s rendition of “Some Beach,” a song he and Paul Overstreet had collaborated on. Together with his wife, he established Joey + Rory in 2008. The following year, they competed in the CMT singing competition Can You Duet, achieving a respectable third-place finish.
In the latter part of that year, they released their first song, “Cheater, Cheater,” which ultimately peaked at position number 30 on the country singles charts. The duo signed a contract with Sugar Hill Records and issued their first full-length album, The Life of a Song. The record was nominated for three Academy of Country Music Awards in 2010 and took home one of those honors. Their succeeding albums, such as Album Number Two, His and Hers, Inspired: Songs of Faith and Family, and Made to Last, continued to provide chart success for the band.
2015 was the year when the couple broke the news that Joey had advanced cervical cancer. Following her death in 2016, Joey + Rory released their sincere last studio effort, Hymns That Are Important to Us. Gentle Man was Rory’s first album as a solo artist, and it was published in 2021. The album contained the hit “Met Him in a Motel Room,” on which Trisha Yearwood contributed her voice as a guest artist. In addition to the musical works he has produced, Feek is also a prolific filmmaker and documentary filmmaker, and a prominent writer who has published two autobiographies and numerous books for children.
Rory completed his early education in his hometown, and after he graduated from high school, he served for two years in the United States Marine Corps. Even though he enjoyed what he did in the Marine Corps, the music never left him, and he just knew that he was meant to do something else with his life. To pursue his goals, he moved to Dallas, Texas. In the middle of the 1990s, Rory leased an apartment in Nashville, which at the time was the hub of the country music industry in the United States, in the hopes of connecting with other musicians or finding a talent agency.
Because he was having trouble making ends meet, he started playing at nightclubs and soon discovered that many other artists with similar talents were also doing the same thing. He even met some Texas artists who were well into their senior years and had spent their whole careers in the state. This caused Rory to reflect, and he made a pact with himself that he would never live that kind of life. Rory’s career began to take off when he met Rod Phelps, who worked as an attorney for Nashville Records and was one of the many people who admired his potential.

Rory Feek’s Phone Number, Email, Contact Information, House Address, and Social Profiles:
Songwriting was Rory Lee Feek’s second passion besides singing, and it was the activity that got him started in the music industry. After signing a deal with him, Nashville records put him to work writing songs under their imprint for artists such as Collin Raye, for whom he penned the song “Someone you used to Know.” He also created songs for other artists. Although most of the credit went to Collin Raye for the song’s success, Rory gained a lot of confidence and became more sure-headed about his future in music due to the song’s success. The song became one of the top-rated country singles of 1999.
Because he had an agreement to compose and publish songs with the label, he was able to produce a few additional tunes. One of these songs was with Clay Walker and was called “The Chain of Love.” It made it to the top five slots on several music charts, so Rory became a celebrity in his own right. At the beginning of the 2000s, Feek resumed his songwriting career, collaborating with many prominent artists such as Mark Wills, Terry Clark, and Randy Davis. As a result, he gradually began to earn notoriety among music fans.
The song “The Truth about Men,” released as a single by Tracy Bird in 2003 and written by Rory, became one of the most successful country successes of that year. Soon after, Rory realized he was more at ease with creating songs, coinciding with the rapid ascent to stardom that he had experienced. In 2004, he and Paul Overstreet collaborated with Blake Shelton to create the song “Some Beach,” which became another huge success for the singer.
It was the first song of his career to top the charts. While he was riding high with his success, Feek launched his own label called Giantslayer Records to encourage emerging talents in the country music field, a genre that is on the decline. Blain Larsen’s success as a musician and his rise to fame is directly attributable to the record company he founded. After forming a pair and giving it the moniker Joey+Rory, Rory and his wife Joey went on to compete in the talent program “Can you Duet.”
Because of the magnitude of the spectacle, there was no way that a performance there would not lead to lucrative record deals if it was successful. And this is precisely what took place; they ended up in the third slot after the program, and as a direct result, they signed a contract with Vanguard Records. The year 2008 marked the beginning of the duo’s work on what would become their first studio album, which they intended to release in the same year.
When it was finally released in the late 2008s, their first song was given the moniker “Cheater, Cheater,” and it immediately climbed to the 30th rank on the country music charts. This was an incredible accomplishment, considering it was their first record. Rory continued to compose for other artists even though he had formed a band with his wife. Jimmy Wayne requested Rory to collaborate on the composition of his song “I will” with him, and the finished product was a tremendous hit when it was published.
Late in 2008, Sugarhill Records distributed the pair’s first studio album, “The Life of a Song.” The record was a huge success, and the duo was recognized for their contributions to country music by being nominated for the Academy of Country Music Awards. After that, they went on to win honors for being the Top New Vocal Duo of the Year for the same thing. After that, in 2010, the pair issued their second studio album, “Album Number 2,” and achieved more success with their second try. Rory and Joey contributed their respective voices to the tunes, while Rory also played the acoustic guitar throughout the sessions.
The pair was responsible for many hit songs, and in February 2016, they released their eighth and last album as a duet. However, in the same year, the couple parted ways due to the tragic passing of Joey, who had been battling cervical cancer for a considerable amount of time.
